Sandbank
For good stability and better pressure distribution
Flapping sand, or fill sand, plays a vital role in creating strong and stable surfaces in construction and landscaping. Its coarse, granular texture makes it ideal for raising ground. Flapping sand is primarily used as a base for paving and driveways. By compacting the sand thoroughly, a firm and stable base is created. This prevents subsidence and ensures a durable paving surface. Flapping sand is also used as a crawl space filler, preventing moisture problems and improving insulation.
Breaker sand
For a firm and water-permeable surface
Crushed sand is a type of sand commonly used in construction and paving. It has a coarser texture than regular sand and a grain size of 0-4 mm. Crushed sand is primarily used to fill the joints between paving stones. The sand is swept into the joints and then moistened, causing it to harden and form a strong bond between the paving stones. This bond prevents the paving from shifting or settling. Crushed sand also ensures good drainage, preventing puddles on the paving stones. It is an essential component for durable and stable paving.
Voegzand (wit)
For filling joints between stones or tiles
White joint sand is a type of sand specifically designed for grouting bricks and tiles. It has a fine grain and is mixed with cement and water to create grout. Joint sand is primarily used to fill the joints between bricks or tiles, bonding them firmly together. It creates a strong and durable bond and prevents water or dirt from seeping between the joints. Joint sand is available in various colors: white, gray, and yellow.
Joint sand (grey)
For filling joints between stones or tiles
Gray joint sand is slightly darker, has a fine grain structure, and is mixed with cement and water to make grout. It is specifically designed for jointing bricks and tiles. It prevents water or dirt from seeping between the joints. Joint sand is available in various colors—white, gray, and yellow—so it can be matched to the aesthetics of the brickwork or paving.
Yellow joint sand (play sand)
For filling joints between stones or tiles
Yellow joint sand is also used as play sand for sandboxes. Like white and gray joint sand, it's a type of sand specifically designed for grouting bricks and tiles, only yellow in color. It has a fine grain and is mixed with cement and water to make grout. Joint sand is primarily used to fill the joints between bricks or tiles, bonding them firmly together. It creates a strong and durable bond and prevents water or dirt from seeping between the joints.
Vloerenzand
For under natural stone tiles and horse arenas
Flooring sand has a coarser grain size, making it a solid base for various applications. Flooring sand is primarily used under natural stone tiles, as it provides a strong and durable base. The sand is evenly distributed over the surface and then firmly compacted to create a stable foundation. This helps prevent subsidence and unevenness, ensuring the floor remains beautiful and functional for years to come. Flooring sand is also used in riding arenas and stables. The sand provides a resilient surface for horses to walk and train on. It absorbs shock and prevents injuries while still providing sufficient stability.
